Green smoothies are full of nutrients that are easy to digest as they are blended into very small particles; in fact digestion begins in your mouth.
They are a complete food with all of their fiber.
1 large apple
2 leaves of Romaine lettuce
1/2 cup spinach
1 celery stick, chopped
1/2 cup water
1 Tablespoon Flaxseed oil
7 soaked almonds
Few drops light liquid stevia (Optional)
1 heaping tablespoon soaked pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup blueberries (fresh is best but frozen and thawed are good too)
1 Tablespoon Flax seed meal
- Blend all except last 3 ingredients until smooth.
- Then mix in Pumpkin seeds, ½ cup blueberries and Flax seed meal.
- Eat in a bowl or add more water and drink as a smoothie.
