Yummy Chocolate Cherry Vegan Ice Cream

This vegan ice cream is delicious! Who doesn’t like chocolate cherry ice cream?  This is a simple to make vegan ice cream which is so yummy made with some of my favourite ingredients. And not filled with unhealthy sugar!



1 banana, frozen and cut
1/2 cup frozen cherries
1 tablespoon almond butter
1/4 tablespoon rice syrup or maple syrup
1/4 tsp stevia, light liquid
1 tablespoon cocoa or 1 tablespoon carob powder
1 teaspoon vanilla


  1. Chop the banana and freeze.
  2. Blend all ingredients in a blender to a smooth consistency.

Eat and enjoy now or freeze until firm.

    Looks yummy. I already have made banana ice cream. I would love to try this recipe but I will have to use a substitute for the honey which is not vegan. Thanks.

    Suzana, I changed the honey to rice syrup or maple syrup as I know for many vegans that will be necessary. Thank you for reminding me.

    How much sugar is in this recipe? does it matter if the cherries are sweet or tart?

    The sweetener is rice syrup or maple syrup…no sugar.
    It is best if the cherries are sweet.

    I have just come from a movie called “That sugar Film” – I think everyone should watch this movie – it is brilliant – all about an Australian man who decides to test what happens to his body if he eats a lot of sugar – in the end he was eating the same amount of calories, but what the sugar diet did to his body was unbelievable! Unfortunately, sugar of any description is bad if taken in excess – so keep it low, like all of Diana’s recipe’s – thanks for the post Diana!.
