Oranges are rich in dietary fiber, pectin, which is very effective in persons with excess body weight. They help fight cancer, fight viral infections, and relieve constipation and help prevent kidney diseases and reduce the risk of kidney stones.
Oranges and apples are high in pectin fiber that binds to cholesterol and heavy metals in the body, they help eliminate toxic build-up and to cleanse the intestines.
The common apple has uncommonly huge health benefits, and how to best enjoy them. Your mom didn’t use the term superfood but she knew about apples. “An apple a day keeps the doctor away” was the first nutritional advice I and many children heard from their moms. For this reason, we call them “the first superfood.”
Did you know that blueberries have more antioxidants than any other popular fruit and help prevent cancer, diabetes, age-related memory loss, and are anti-inflammatory? They are also rich in potassium, fiber, and vitamins A & C. Blueberries are one of the most healing foods. They have antiviral properties and help to block toxins from crossing the blood-brain barrier to gain access to the delicate brain.
Golden flax meal offers a wonderful nutritional boost to almost any recipe. Omega-3 fatty acids, 4g of fiber, and lignans make for a heart-healthy nutritional combination. Mild in flavor and ground for a maximum bioavailability of nutrients, Organic Golden Flaxseed Meal can be inconspicuously added to almost any recipe – smoothies, shakes, breads, cookies, pancakes, over salads, and more.
As I don’t use sugar for my baking I often use stevia which is the healthy option. The stevia plant is incredibly sweet and also incredibly good for you. The leaf is 30 times sweeter than sugar while extracts are 300-400 times sweeter. The best stevia will, therefore, be the one that retains some whole food value and is water-based. Liquid forms will be less processed. Go here to learn How to Get the Best Stevia Without the Bitterness.
- Mix the flax meal in water with stevia in a bowl.
- Chop all of the fruit.
- Mix everything together with the flax meal mixture.
- Eat and enjoy.
Optional: mix in 1 pkg of NuPlus.
