It was a great honor to speak with Robert Cheeke, the famous vegan body builder. Also, he agreed to an interview for us at Real Food for Life. I learned so much about him and things to do myself. Of course, this website has 350 vegan recipes.
His story sounds like it was made up just to inspire others. The thing is that it is his true story which had many surprises in it for me.
Robert Cheeke is the World’s
Most Recognized Vegan Body Builder
Tells All in The Interview
He was a cliche: the skinniest kid in the class who wanted to become something better.
He did so, became a world-class bodybuilder, and then began to gather all the other vegan bodybuilders and athletes together to inspire the rest of the world.
“Why did you decide to stop eating animal-based foods?
I grew up on a farm and developed an appreciation for farm animals similar to the respect and appreciation someone might have for a dog or a cat. Given this perspective of farm animals and my closeness to them through my involvement in 4-H, raising them as pets, it seemed fitting to stop eating my animal friends. I no longer wanted to contribute to animal cruelty and suffering and decided to go vegan, as a teenager in the agriculture town of Corvallis, OR in the mid-90s.” ~Robert Cheeke Vegan Body Building
Listen to the introduction of how Robert Cheeke changed his life.
In the complete one-hour interview, Robert Cheeke gives very clear instructions on how to change YOUR life starting today, plus simple principles of getting started into fitness and bodybuilding and the necessary diet to support such a change. This was very helpful for me too when it comes to bodybuilding.
