Apple Raspberry Jam

This is a yummy raspberry apple jam that is easy to make. It is healthy as it is not full of sugar and preservatives like many jams.

Ingredients

  • 3 apples
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1/2 tsp liquid stevia
  • 2 Tbsp coconut sugar

Instructions

  • Core, peel, and chop the apples into small pieces.
  • Place the apples into a stainless steel or enamel saucepan with the raspberries, coconut sugar and stevia.
  • Simmer until the apples are nice and  soft and then mash them with a potato masher.
  • Bring everything to a full boil over high heat.
  • Boil hard for 2 minutes, stirring constantly so that your fruit does not burn.
  • Ladle the mixture into sterilized jars and put the lids on immediately.
  • Set the jars aside and do not move them for at least 12 hours till they have sealed, and then store them in a cupboard. 
  • You will hear the lids pop, which means that they are sealing.
  • Now you can enjoy your raspberry apple jam.

Note: As this apple raspberry jam does not have a lot of sugar in it; it will not last as long on the shelf. A few months in the cupboard and then it is best to refrigerate them.
