Onion Soup

Who doesn't love a yummy onion soup for lunch or dinner?  I made this recipe with only very healthy superfood ingredients so it is very good for you. Also, it is a simple soup to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 yellow onion
  • 1-3 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 Tbsp yeast extract or marmite
  • black pepper
  • parsley

Instructions

  • Peel the onion and slice onions into rounds.
  • Sauté the onion in a saucepan on medium heat till lightly golden.
  • Chop the garlic finely.
  • Add the garlic to onions and saute for two minutes.
  • Now add the water, yeast extract, oregano, bay leaves, and black pepper to the pan.
  • Simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Add more water if necessary.
  • Before serving sprinkle some chopped parsley on top.
  • Now enjoy your onion soup.
