Juice the lemon.
Cover the dried fruit with water and lemon juice.
Soak the dried fruit for 12 – 24 hours.
In a separate bowl, cover the almonds with water.
Soak the almonds overnight.
Drain the water off the almonds.
Mix the almonds in with dried fruit mixture.
Serve the compote with pudding* - pour on top of fruit and almonds.
Leave it to cool a little and serve it warm or cold.
