Fresh Mint Tea
This fresh mint tea is a traditional tea in many desert countries like Morocco, Turkey, and Egypt. They drink this because it is so cooling. Mint is not only cooling, but also energizing, refreshing, and good for digestion. And it is so easy to make.
- 3-6 stalks fresh mint
- 4 cups boiling water
- few drops light liquid stevia Optional
Lightly crush the mint in your palms. Place in a teapot.
Pour boiling water over the crushed mint, put lid on the teapot.
Let it steep for 5 minutes.
If you want a little sweetness, add some stevia.
Inhale the wonderful aroma of the mint deeply, now drink and enjoy your fresh mint tea!
OR for a cool drink, use half the water and put in cold water for the other half after it has steeped.
This fresh mint tea can be made both hot or cold.
If you like a little sweetness, add some stevia.
See instructions for making an optional cold brew.
