Pear Hazelnut Crumble

This pear hazelnut crumble is a very healthy dessert filled with superfood pears, coconut oil, oats and the hazelnuts which go so well with the pears making it extra delicious.
In the fall I picked so many pears from a friend's tree that I had to get creative and this is one very yummy result. My pear hazelnut crumble really is delicious.

Ingredients

  • 5 cup pears
  • 3/4 cup brown rice flour
  • 2 1/2 cups oatmeal flakes
  • 1/2 tsp Himalayan salt
  • 2/3 cup coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar or sucanat
  • 1/2 tsp stevia in 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup hazelnuts chopped

Instructions

  •  Core and slice pears.
  •  Place the pears in a baking dish.
  • Mix the oil, sugar, salt, and stevia/water together in a bowl.
  • Add the brown rice flour to the wet mixture.
  • Mix in well.
  • Add the oatmeal, and mix it in well.
  • Mix thoroughly with fingers.
  • Sprinkle on top of the fruit.
  • Sprinkle the chopped hazelnuts on top.
  • Pat down firmly.
  • Bake at 350º F. in the oven for approximately 40 minutes.
